Red Oak is typical from the northern United States and Canada and has a more Golden Reddish look. White Oak is prevalent in the Southern United States and has a Yellower, Browner Tone, White Oak is typically a little bit cheaper and the fact it does not pull any reddish tones makes it perfect for staining, specially very dark colors.
Solid Hardwood Flooring is manufactured from a single solid piece of wood. It comes straight from the tree itself and is generally 3/4″ inch thick.
